We provide both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis services to hospitalized patients, 24 hours, 7 days a week. Our unit also serves as a transition unit for patients who are initiated on hemodialysis and waiting for placement at other dialysis units.
We provide dialysis services to a diverse patient population with a wide spectrum of renal pathology. We have more than 10 quality improvement projects that are ongoing to continuously improve and offer the best possible dialysis care for our patients. We have a dedicated multidisciplinary team that works tirelessly to enhance our patients care. This provides an excellent educational opportunity for the fellows in training making them exceptionally competent in diagnosing unique medical diseases and adept in dealing with cultural differences that are commonly seen with chronic medical conditions. Overall, our dialysis unit offers a unique educational experience to both our fellows and residents enriching their learning experience.
