*Research Projects

Clinical Phenotype Resource and Biobank Core to Understand Kidney Disease (C-PROBE) - The primary goal of the C-PROBE is to develop an infrastructure that will serve as an interface between patients in the clinical care settings in south eastern (SE) Michigan and Illinois and biomedical investigators conducting translational research in kidney disease.

The Faculty in the Division of Nephrology at John H. Stroger Hospital is actively involved in this multicenter observational study, whose primary objective is develop an infrastructure that will help many investigators understand the epidemic of chronic kidney disease, particularly in minorities.

Nephrotic Syndrome Study Network (NEPTUNE)- Rare Disease Clinical Research Consortium - The main aim of this study is to find markers of Nephrotic Syndrome in these rare diseases- Focal and Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), Minimal Change Disease (MCD), and Membranous Nephropathy (MN).

Lupus Cohort Study- Assessment of association between disease specific markers and targets/pathways associated with inflammation and tissue injury /fibrosis in Lupus nephritis
