Publications: Pamela Ganschow, MD, serves as the Director of the Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program, Section Chief of Women's Health at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County as well as Co-Chair of Breast Cancer Screening, Prevention and Treatment, Cook County Health and Hospitals System. Dr. Ganschow is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Rush University Medical School an Attending Physician in the Division of General Medicine at Stroger Hospital. Dr. Ganschow's research focuses on breast cancer genetics, individualized cancer risk assessment and prevention, and breast cancer disparities among underserved populations.

Dr. Ganschow is a principal investigator for the Cancer Risk program at Stroger Hospital, which provides state of the art cancer genetic counseling and genetic testing for BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations for breast cancer patients and their at risk family members. This program also provides support for database development and maintenance to collect pedigree information, demographics, risk factors, genetic mutation status and medical management choices for underserved patients at increased risk for breast cancer in the program.
